Discover the Legacy of Marius Fabre
A family tradition of honest soapmaking since 1900.For over 125 years, the Marius Fabre family in Provence has dedicated itself to the craft of authentic Marseille soap. What began in 1900 with a single cauldron and a belief in pure ingredients has grown into one of the last remaining soapmakers still following the traditional “Marseille method” — a slow, disciplined process passed down through four generations.
Today, the Fabre family continues to work just as their ancestors did: patiently, respectfully, and with great attention to detail. Their soaps are made using natural plant oils, cooked in large cauldrons, and left to dry gently over days — not rushed, not altered, not industrialised.
It’s a way of working that honours both material and craft.![]()
At the heart of their philosophy lies a simple idea: skincare should be honest. No additives, no artificial colouring, no palm oil — just pure, natural ingredients that are kind to skin and environment. This quiet integrity is what has made Marius Fabre a name respected far beyond Provence.

Whether in the form of a solid Savon de Marseille cube, a rotating wall soap, or one of their gentle liquid soaps, every piece reflects the same guiding principles — simplicity, quality, and longevity.
