This oval solid brass door plaque dates from the 1930s and bears the French engraving "Petit Coin," which literally means "little corner" or colloquially, a fond term for the toilet. Such signs were often found on doors in French cafes, country houses, or private homes, combining function with decorative charm.
The curved script, warm brass surface, and simple oval shape give the plaque a timeless aesthetic with Art Deco and Art Nouveau touches. The sign can be easily attached using the two side openings.
Today, the piece is excellent as an extraordinary detail for bathrooms, guest toilets, or nostalgically inspired interiors.
