Travel perfume bottle in a leather case – early 20th century

This elegant travel perfume bottle combines functionality and timeless elegance. The small glass bottle is protected by a custom-fit leather case, allowing it to be safely transported in a handbag or when travelling – an indispensable accessory at a time when perfume bottles were still made of delicate glass.

The black leather case has a snap fastener flap and a green lined interior with a beautiful age-related patina. Inside is a removable glass bottle with a metal cap. Such travel bottles were popular companions in the early 20th century and were cherished by ladies and travellers alike.

The metal parts feature small embossments that could indicate the manufacturer or a historical patent. However, a clear attribution is no longer possible today.
