This original Primus pocket watch case from the 1940s was originally designed to reliably protect pocket watches from dirt, dust, and damage at work. Particularly in craft or industrial professions, such protective capsules offered additional protection in everyday working life and extended the lifespan of the watch.
With its characteristic teardrop shape, integrated eyelet for attachment to a watch chain, and practical snap closure, it combines functionality with robust craftsmanship from decades past. The embossed size "21 ½" refers to the standardized fit for certain pocket watch sizes.
