The Submariner Shorts are made from 10 oz. canvas supplied by British Millerain. The so-called Ventile canvas was developed by the Royal Air Force in the 1940s to provide its pilots with lightweight, breathable, durable, and, above all, water-repellent clothing. They feature an elastic hem, drawstring waist and leg cuffs, a cargo pocket with flap on the front leg, two side pockets, and a back pocket with flap closure.
