The traditional weaving mill John Hanly & Co. was founded in 1893 in County Tipperary, Ireland, and is now family-owned and operated by the fourth generation. Production still takes place at the same historic watermill that company founder Denis Hanly once acquired – and which still supplies environmentally friendly energy for production today.
The company specializes in fine woven fabrics made from pure new wool, fine Merino wool, and luxurious mohair. They use only high-quality Irish and European wool – guaranteed without any foreign fibers. This results in scarves of remarkable quality, inspired by traditional Irish, Scottish, and English patterns, with harmonious color gradients and timeless elegance.
