Vintage wall-mounted soap dish – approx. 1930s–1950s

This vintage wall-mounted soap dish likely dates back to the first half of the 20th century, combining a functional design with a beautifully minimalist aesthetic.

The elongated dish is crafted as an open metal basket. Its regularly spaced perforations allow water to drain while ensuring good ventilation for soap, sponges, or other bathroom essentials. The dish is supported by a curved metal arm with a circular wall plate for fixed mounting.

The surface, shaped over decades, is particularly appealing. The originally silvery finish is matte and worn in places, displaying an irregular, natural patina. The piece has deliberately not been polished to a high shine, preserving its original character.

With a width of 25.5 cm, the dish is generously sized and remains an excellent functional and decorative accessory for the bathroom today.
