The traditional weaving mill John Hanly & Co. was founded in 1893 in County Tipperary, Ireland, and is now in its fourth generation of family ownership. Production still takes place at the same historic water mill that company founder Denis Hanly once acquired – which continues to provide eco-friendly energy for manufacturing to this day.
For these particularly fine scarves, John Hanly combines 95% merino wool with 5% cashmere. The merino wool ensures a pleasantly soft, warming quality, while the cashmere content gives the fabric an even finer feel. The result is a lightweight, supple scarf that is wonderful to wear and pleasantly warm.
Traditional weaving art meets timeless design: classic patterns, carefully coordinated colors, and the characteristic craftsmanship of John Hanly make each scarf a long-lasting companion for many years.
