This extraordinary Ricard glass, designed by French designers Cordoleani & Fontana, charmingly combines aperitif culture and functionality. The distinctive yellow lid also serves as a small bowl for olives, nuts or other tapas, making the glass a typical example of French culinary culture.
The glass was specially developed for the traditional enjoyment of Ricard Pastis. In the base there is a small indentation, called a "Goutte" (French for "drop"). This serves as a dosing aid and holds exactly the right amount of Pastis for classic preparation. A fine, circumferential marking in the glass then indicates the recommended filling height for the water. This makes it easy to adhere to the traditional mixing ratio.
Both the Ricard lettering and the Cordoleani & Fontana signature in the glass base emphasize the special character of this well-designed object. Today, these glasses are among the most sought-after collector's items of French bar and aperitif culture.
The glass is in good used condition with slight age-related signs of wear.
An original design object from France that uniquely combines function, humor, and aperitif culture.
