Evian Fruité Ashtray – France, 1950s/60s

This ceramic promotional ashtray was made for the French beverage Evian Fruité and dates from the 1950s to 1960s. With its unusual color scheme and striking brand decoration, it is a fine example of French promotional ceramics from this period.

The round ashtray has a glossy pink glaze and four rests for cigarettes. On the wide rim, the red lettering "EVIAN" alternates with the dark blue, flowing "Fruité". The combination of delicate pink and bold lettering colors gives the piece its characteristic retro charm.

The ashtray was made by the French ceramics manufacturer Moulin des Loups in Orchies. Originally intended as a promotional item for cafés and bars, today it is equally suitable as a decorative tray for keys, coins, or other small items.
