This vintage brass tag from the French brand Feudor is characterized by its simple, functional design. The round plaque features the embossed Feudor lettering as well as a large three-digit number. A sturdy brass ring allows it to be attached to a keychain or other objects.
These numbered brass tags were originally used in tool cribs. Employees would leave their personal tag when borrowing a tool. This made it possible to keep track of who had been issued which tool at any time.
The solid brass construction and understated typography give these small tags a distinctly functional character. Today, they make excellent unique keychains.
