This beautiful set of two ceramic bowls comes from VEB Steingutwerk Torgau and was made in the 1970s. The bowls belong to the now very popular "Flora" series, which is characterized by its elaborately crafted, plastic relief decor of stylized flowers and leaves.
The characteristic green glaze gives the bowls their warm, natural radiance and particularly highlights the fine details of the floral pattern. The structured surface not only provides a special feel, but also makes each piece a small work of art of GDR design.
Whether as serving bowls for fruit, salads or pastries or as decorative objects in the kitchen and living room – the two bowls combine functionality with timeless vintage charm. They are in good age-appropriate condition with slight signs of wear that underline their authentic character.
