Handmade Stoneware Jug Flora

Handmade earthenware jug from the "Flora" series, manufactured in VEB Steingutwerk Torgau in the former GDR. These pieces originate from a time when everyday objects were produced with a clear design aesthetic.

Characteristic is the glossy brown glaze combined with a raised floral relief decor, which gives the jug a calm, decorative presence. Slight variations in surface and finish are part of the handcrafted production and make each piece individual.

The base mark with the stylized "T" in a circle and the addition "GDR" refers to its origin. The embossed series name "Flora" and the volume specification (e.g. 0.60 L or 0.85 L) are typical features of this production.
