J. Galand mocha cup with saucer and spoon – Belgium, 1930s

This elegant three-piece mocha set originates from Belgium and dates back to the 1920s to 1940s. The cup and saucer were crafted by the Brussels silversmith manufactory J. Galand and exhibit the clear, restrained design language of Art Deco.

The small cup features a finely curved handle and, like the matching saucer, is decorated with sculptural shell motifs. The silver-colored surface and subtle decorative elements lend the set a classic elegance.

On the underside are the manufacturer's mark "GALAND," the initials "JG," and the designation "METAL BLANC." The set is made of silver-plated white metal. It is complemented by a stylistically matching spoon from the Belgian manufacturer Bruno Wiskemann, which was not originally part of the set.
