The traditional weaving mill John Hanly & Co. was founded in 1893 in County Tipperary, Ireland, and is now in its fourth generation of family ownership. Production still takes place at the same historic watermill that company founder Denis Hanly once acquired – and which continues to provide environmentally friendly energy for manufacturing.
The company specializes in exquisite woven goods made from pure new wool, fine merino wool, and luxurious mohair. Only high-quality Irish and European wool is used – guaranteed free of foreign fibers. This results in scarves of remarkable quality, inspired by traditional Irish, Scottish, and English patterns, with harmonious color gradients and timeless elegance.
