This original Lotto change dish dates from the 1950s to 1960s and was once a familiar sight on the counters of kiosks, tobacco shops, and lottery ticket agencies. The heavy glass dish was used for handing over change and simultaneously served as an effective advertising space directly at the cash register.
At its center is the classic Lotto motif with the historic Lotto man, designed as a lucky charm. The well-known advertising slogan "Don't forget LOTTO!" reminded customers to submit their lottery ticket and try their luck immediately before leaving the store.
Made from solid pressed glass, the dish impresses with its heavy weight and robust design. The visible signs of wear on the advertising insert bear witness to decades of daily use and give the object an authentic vintage character.
Today, the change dish is a coveted collector's item of German advertising history and a decorative memento of the "Wirtschaftswunder" era (economic miracle).
