Ofrex Robust Stapler – England, 1940s/1950s

The Ofrex Robust stapler is an authentic piece of British office history from the 1940s or 1950s. Crafted from heavy, chrome-plated steel and featuring a distinctive black Bakelite plunger, it combines functional industrial design with the charm of classic stationery.

Particularly characteristic is the embossed "Ofrex Robust" lettering on the Bakelite lever. The solid construction, high-quality chrome plating, and clean lines reflect the durable quality for which British office equipment of that era was known.

The stapler is designed as a so-called rear loader. The magazine is filled from the back via a spring mechanism. A cleverly designed viewing window indicates when the staples are running low – a smart detail that was ahead of its time.
