Rotary International – Gien France, 1960s–1970s

This original Rotary International ashtray was crafted by the long-standing French Faïencerie de Gien and is a fine example of high-quality promotional and commemorative objects from the mid-20th century.

The round dish features a deep petrol to blue-green glaze. In the center, the characteristic Rotary International gear emblem is embossed with a surrounding inscription. The finely grooved rim and four integrated cigarette rests emphasize the graphic design.

On the underside is the "GIEN FRANCE" mark with the French manufacturer's characteristic château signet. The ashtray was presumably produced as a promotional or club item for Rotary International.

Today, the piece is not only interesting for collectors of Gien and historical Rotary items, but can also be used as a decorative tray or vide-poche.
