This characterful vase by Steuler Keramik is a beautiful example of the famous West German Pottery of the 1960s. With its bulbous body, slender neck, and striking ring handle, it combines sculptural form with the reduced aesthetics of Mid-Century design.
The matte, finely speckled textured glaze in warm earth tones gives the vase a natural appeal and underlines its handcrafted character. In contrast, the dark brown glazed interior completes the harmonious overall impression. On the underside is the typical Steuler base mark with the honeycomb logo and the model number 659/15, referring to the model and the height of 15 cm.
