Union Match matchbox – Belgium

This vintage matchbox from the brand Union Match was produced by the Union Allumettière in Brussels. The decorative label features the company’s signature emblem with the letters "UA," surrounded by three red flames. The inscriptions "Union Match," "Union Allumettière," "Brussels," and "Made in Belgium" complement the graphic design in red, black, and cream white.

The box still contains around 60 original safety matches. The perfectly preserved label with its typographical design and the striking surfaces on the sides is particularly lovely—a small everyday object from a time when even mundane packaging was elaborately designed.
