This handmade stoneware vase comes from the Massemühle Wagner pottery in Bavaria and was presumably made in the 1960s-1970s.
The bulbous shape with a small handle, the speckled glaze, and the cobalt blue decorative bands are typical of German studio pottery of this period. Each piece was individually thrown and glazed, resulting in slight variations – a beautiful expression of traditional craftsmanship.
A charming vintage vase that is well-suited as a decorative individual piece on a shelf, sideboard, or table.
