This original Saint Raphaël carafe made of heavy pressed glass is an authentic piece of French bistro culture from the 1950s and 1960s. With its striking rectangular shape, characteristic diamond pattern, and embossed "St Raphaël" lettering, it combines functional design with the charm of the Mid-Century era.
Unlike ordinary retail bottles, this carafe was specifically produced as a promotional item for the catering industry. In French cafés, bars, and bistros, it served as a water carafe on the table and was part of the traditional serving of the famous aperitif Saint Raphaël Quinquina, which was often enjoyed with water or ice.
The heavy pressed glass, with its relief-like prism pattern, creates impressive light reflections and gives the carafe its distinctive appearance. Today, it is popular both as a collector's item and as a stylish water carafe, vase, or decorative object on a bar cart.
